We are an international law firm focussed on assisting global businesses and entrepreneurs on probably most matters involving Danish, American or British business law.
Our headquarter is in Copenhagen, Denmark, and we have offices in London and Washington, D.C. which means we are available to our clients during both European and US business hours.
Our lawyers are admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of both Denmark, the United States, and England and Wales.
Organisation
Rosenfalck, Thorup & Russell (RTR) is a co-operation between Rosenfalck Advokatanpartselskab (registered in Denmark with CVR No. 44 27 77 78) and Thomas Thorup Law Adv.ApS (registered in Denmark with CVR-nr. 34608792) whose registered offices are at Landemaerket 3, 3. tv., 1119 Copenhagen K, Denmark.
Regulatory
All our lawyers admitted in Denmark are appointed by the Ministry of Justice in Denmark and are members of the Danish Bar and Law Society. In addition to these terms and conditions, we practice law in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Lawyers, which can be found on www.advokatsamfundet.dk, and the rules of the Danish Administration of Justice Act on lawyers.
Attorneys administered in the United States, specifically California and the District of Columbia, are members of the State Bar Associations of those states and are subject to their Code of Attorney Conduct.
Our solicitors are admitted in England and Wales and are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Indemnity and guarantee insurance
Rosenfalck Advokatanpartsselskab is insured with Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A (670).
Thomas Thorup Law Adv.ApS is insured in Denmark with CNA Hardy, and in the USA with USI Affinity.
Client care letter
When we open a new matter, we normally provide you with a client care letter including our terms and conditions, which includes an estimate of our fee, a description of the scope of the case, and our general terms.
Complaints
You can complain about our conduct or fees as follows:
- In Denmark: The Danish Bar Council (Advokatnævnet)
- In the US: The State Bar of California, and The District of Columbia Bar.
- In England: The Legal Ombudsman (fees) and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (conduct).
